At age 7, while in the mall, hiding from Scott and Charlotte, Ryan encounter with a group of five students who took liking to him before they took him under their wings and bring them to their house to have fun. Under Charlotte's care Ryan tried to ran away and always searching for his real family while emotionally avoiding attached to Scott and Charlotte. During his summer life Ryan met a young boy named Rodney Jones and they become best friends forever but then he was abandoned when Rebecca learned that real reason behind this: Jones was married to Charlotte and had a baby boy thus Ryan was eventual older half-brother to Rodney. However, after school and during summer vacation, Rebecca assigned as a nanny and relocated to Grimborough and starts the summer staying for months. About five years in Paris, Rebecca spends her life as a guardian and mentor to Ryan and tried to give him all she can, she had Ryan try inventing and researching while he was accompanied by the Furbytails that Veronica also gave him as a companions. As a promise Rebecca struggle to take care of Ryan as her ward while Veronica was left with her family. She entrusted a famous alchemist Rebecca Flamel to take care of Ryan so Veroncia would stays in her father's side.īut before this, she give Rebecca a golden whistle she got from her uncle as a child that she never knew about him and promise that she will be there to protect her son if Ryan uses the whistle when he was scared. Veronica was threatened cut off and disowned by her father and grandparents but her mother was trying to figure it out what her daughter can do with her son. Ben was suspicious that if Jones was married to a woman that he was divorced with but Veronica doesn’t believe about this until she learned that Jones’ heart was now belong to his high school sweetheart, Charlotte, breaking her heart thus ending the family life between wealthy and the pirates. He was admired by his uncles, Michael and Wyatt and is hated by his grandfather, the CEO of Waygetter Inc., Benjamin Waygetter who disliked him after discovering his daughter’s piracy heritage that related to her ancestor, the crewmate of legendary pirate captain Mary Read.
